FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS
1) Escape Room Visit Presentation
Each student will visit, document and present on their visit to a local Escape Room.
Here is a list of some local Escape Rooms or Puzzle Rooms.

There are additional escape rooms in neighboring locations, if you find any other escape rooms, please check with the instructor to see if that escape room is appropriate for purposes of this assignment.
After attending the escape room you will create a 5 Minute presentation for class on the escape room you visited.
Please create the presentation on Google slides. Feel free to include images, text, audio and video.
You will have only 5 minutes so please practice the pacing of your presentation.
You should report on instructional strategies that you saw during this experience to include:
1) cooperative learning
2) discovery
3) problem solving
4) elements of games
5) elements of simulations
6) discussion

create a beginning blog post that includes identifies what you believe are the elements of Escape Room Design.
Please include at least 3 examples of game design, clues that could be solved using maker projects and technology
integration. Use specific examples aligning them to instructional strategies and educational theories.
Please also create a table or other graphic image that clearly identifies what escape room elements align to educational strategies.
As you are designing your Escape Room, create pages on your website based on the project's topics:

For the assignment you will be handing in a link to your video on YouTube and also a link to your video's storyboard. For your video, you will be graded in the following areas:
1) Content (instructional strategies, game design and maker elements
2) Elements of engagement
3) Video organization
4) Storyboard as a guide to the following along with the video
5) Thought and creativity

In addition to the video which shows the Escape Room to an authentic audience, the project will also be assessed on its use of the FRCC's Information and Technology Literacy Student Learning Outcome and adapting it to different learner styles for assessment.
